Upon completion of her studies in 2006, Jiang was employed by WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland to serve as a reporter which she did for almost 2 years. From there she joined WJZ-TV in Baltimore, and served for four years before landing a general assignment reporter job at WCBS-TV in New York. She also worked as a fill in anchor.

Jiang left the station for WBZ-TV in Boston, where she served as reporter. She covered the Newton Tragedy which won the station a regional Emmy Award. In 2015 Jiang rejoined the CBS Network, working as a correspondent for Newspath in Washington, DC. In that position she covered politics covering the 2016 presidential elections, Congressional baseball shooting and both Trump’s and Obama’s administration.

She rose to rank becoming CBS News White House Correspondent in 2018, she travelled with President Trump a lot, covering stories such as Trump’s and Putin’s Historic summit in Helsinki. Also Jiang covered his first and Second impeachments.
