Brown’s journalism career begun when he was interned as a student at CBS 6 in Richmond, Virginia. After he graduated he landed a job at WTVR TV in Richmond. From 2005-2009 he worked at WWBT TV an NBC affiliate in Richmond as an anchor and a reporter.
He later joined CBS in 2009 and worked up to 2014. At CBS he worked a double job as an anchor and as a correspondent. He anchored up to the minute, the CBS morning news and filled in for the weekend editions of CBS evening news. Some of his prolific national stories he covered includes the bombing in Boston marathon.
He joined ABC7 in April 2014 and worked as a reporter and a contributing anchor. He volunteered to ride with the Navy blue angels at the air and water show months after joining ABC 7 and confessed that”Riding in a jet travelling at 700 mph was quite a thrill…..a thrill I won’t be undertaking any time soon.” His great anchoring skills has made him to be tasked in various ABC 7 programs. He was the emcee at Chicago Police and Firefighter graduation ceremonies and has worked with multiple local organizations to assist the youth at risk in Chicago.
