1995 is when Sharyn’s career in Journalism began at KHBS-TV in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she gained a lot of experience by working in different capacities like, reporter, weekend anchor, photographer and editor. Eventually, she left the station and bagged a general assignment reporter job at WVEC-TV in Norfolk, Virginia after which she left for KIRO-TV, a CBS affiliate in Seattle Washington to work as a reporter.
Additionally, she worked worked for another CBS owned station named WBZ-TV in Boston. While working there she won several awards making a way for her to get employed by CBS News. She Joined CBS News in 2004, working as a New York based correspondent, and led some major domestic and International stories.
