Nancy Cordes began her Journalism career shortly after graduating at KHNL-TV in Honolulu as a reporter. From there she was hired by WJLA-TV in Washington, DC where she server as a reporter from 1999-2003 and she covered the 2000 presidential campaigns.

Between 2003 and 2004 she worked as Washington based correspondent for an ABC affiliate, News One later in 2005 she landed a job at ABC News. At ABC News she served as Correspondent stationed in New York.
