Career
The CNN Chief Congressional correspondent, began his journalism career at WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin where he had a role on the assignment desk. He later moved to Washington, DC to work with Inside Washington Publishers and reported on environmental policy. After working for some time he left to join Congressional Quarterly. From there he worked with The Hill before landing a job at Politico. At Politico, he served at top Capitol Hill correspondent for a period of seven years.
Joining CNN on 2015, Raju has been great in reporting about politics. He hosts a CNN Political talk show Inside Politics with Manu Raju on Sundays. Raju is best known for breaking news that political figures are doing behind closed curtains. The political profiles that he has managed to interview includes; Paul Rayan and Nancy Pelosi both Speakers of house of representatives, Senate Minority leader Mitch McColonel, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator John McCain and more.
