Lucy Martin is a well Known British weather presenter who rose to fame after landing a job at BBC in 2015. She is not only known for sharing her expertise in her work as she is also visibly disabled representing disabled people in the media. Her courage and determination is inspirational to many and it’s what made her get where she is, becoming the first BBC disabled weather presenter. The initiative was provided for the disabled people who had passion for weather and environment to learn about weather presenting. Fortunately, Lucy was awarded the position after just three days of attending the workshop.

In her career she was nominated for an Icon Award which made her very happy and affirmed the positive impacts that she is enhancing representing people with disabilities on media.
