Kasie Hunt is an American political reporter and anchor who currently works at CNN. She is the CNN’s political correspondent and also hosts Early Start and state of the race. Formerly, she was the NBC’s Capitol Hill Correspondent who covered congress across all NBC News and all MSNBC platforms. She also hosted the Way Too Early with Kasie Hunt and Kasie DC at MSNBC.

Kasie Hunt Career

Kasie’s journalism career began at NBC as an Intern in the political unit. She worked as a public health reporter for Congress Daily National journal. She covered the 2010 midterm election for politico. In August 2011 she began working as a national reporter for Associated press covering Mitt Romney’s 2012 Presidential Campaign.

She joined NBC News in January 2013 as an off air reporter and producer covering congress and politics. In 2014 she became MSNBC political correspondent after regularly appearing as a political reporter. She regularly appeared on Bloomberg shows.

The personality began anchoring her own talk show on MSNBC on October 2017 known as Kasie DC which aired on Sundays at 7pm and 8pm which ended on September 2020 and on the 17 of the same month she began anchoring another talk show Way Too Early with Kasie Hunt.

She was the first to be hired on CNN+ and she was given an anchoring role for the Source with Kasie Hunt and also a chief national affairs analyst. Her new program the source ended after it was announced that CNN+ was shutting down and in August 2023 Kasie became anchor of CNN early start a morning show. From September 2023 she has been hosting State of the Race on CNN International.
