Jah Cure is a prominent Jamaican reggae Artist, branded as the King of Lovers Rock and Roots Reggae and gained popularity after releasing his single King In This Jungle in 1990’s.

The reggae star was born as Siccature Alcock on 11 October 1978 in Hanover Parish Jamaica. Cure turned 45 years old on 2023. His birth sign is Libra.
Jah Cure’s Family and Early Life
The 45 years old was born a son to Robert Alcock and Pansita Campbell who worked as a hair dresser. He was raised in Kingston Jamaica. More details about Cure’s family are not available. He started showing his Music interests by the age of 14 through attending studios where by then Jamaican stars like Buju Banton would perform.
Jah Cure’s Imprisonment
At the Age of 19, on 16 November 1998, Cure was arrested around Montego Bay with charges of two counts of rape, illegal Possession of guns and robbery. Cure denied the accusations stating he had never seen the victim. He was released on bail and continued with his music career until April 1999 when he was sentenced for 15 years. 5 years later his case was appealed and his sentence was reduced to 12 years. However, Cure was released on parole on 28 July 2007 after staying in jail for 7 years.
Cure is currently serving a 6 years sentence in Prison. He was arrested on 1 October 2021 in Amsterdam for stabbing a music promoter in the stomach. His jail term began on 22 March 2022 after he was found guilty.

On 7 August 2011, Cure exchanged vows with Kamila McDonald, a TV Host and Producer. They had a colorful wedding which was held at Sandy Bay, Hanover. Together they gave birth to Kailani Belle on 20 February 2012. Unfortunately, the duo divorced on August 2017.
Jah Cure Music Career and Songs
Cure’s debut Song was King in This Jungle, a single which he released in 1997 and he performed it together with Sizzla. His name Jah Cure was musician Capleton’s idea. Beres Hammond was Cure’s first producer and became his mentor.
After he was imprisoned he produced three hit albums and few singles while in jail. The first album was free Jah Cure The Album the Truth, released in 2000. The second one was Ghetto life released on 2003. The third one was Freedom Blues released in 2005.
