Hoda Kotb is a well-recognized American Broadcast Journalist and author. Currently, she works at NBC News as the main co-anchor of Today in the morning program. She also co-hosts its entertainment focused fourth hour. Formerly, she worked as a correspondent for NBC’s Dateline.

They gave birth to her in Norman Oklahoma and raised her in Morgantown, West Virginia and also Alexandria Virginia. She was raised alongside her brother Adel and Hala her sister. Her mother worked at the Library of Congress and her father was a fossil Energy specialist and died in 1985 at 52 years old. Throughout the 1990’s she lived in New Orleans. Unfortunately, they parted ways in 2022, ending their engagement which she also announced on Today Fourth hour that they would co-parent and remain friends. Kotb had adopted a baby girl on 2017, named Haley Joy Kotb and another one on 2019 named Hope Catherine Kotb.

Hoda Kotb Career

Kotb began her career at WXVT in Greenville Mississippi. She moved to WQAD an ABC affiliate in Moline, Illinois as a reporter. In 1989 she began working at WINK in Fort Myers, Florida as a weekend anchor up to 1991. From there she joined WWL in New Orleans Louisiana as an anchor for 6 years.

In April 1998, Kotb Joined NBC News as a correspondent for NBC’s Dateline and all NBC News Platforms. She was the first person to anchor Fourth hour of Today in September 2007 and was later joined by Kathie Lee G Ford in 2008.

On 2018 she was named a co-anchor of today alongside Savannah Guthrie. They make the first female duo to lead the show.
