Geoff Bennett is an American broadcast journalist best known for his distinctive role of PBS News hour co-anchor alongside Amna Nawaz. Previously, he worked at NBC News as a white house correspondent and a substitute anchor for MSNBC.

The broadcaster was born as Geoffrey Robinson Bennett on 25 April 1980 in Voorhees, New Jersey. As of 2023 he is 43 years old. His birth sign is Taurus. He belongs to black heritage.

Bennett’s Career

As a student Geoff interned at ABC News and his mentor was Carole Simpson. After graduating ABC News employed him as production assistant of World News Tonight and later associate producer. In 2006 he got a job at AOL TV as a reporter and editor. He covered entertainment industry which he says it boosted his interviewing skills. The next year he joined NPR in Los Angeles and there he served as digital producer and editor for news and in 2009 he served as editor for weekend edition in Washington DC.

He landed a job at NY1 News and reported on camera in 2013.  In 2017 he returned to NPR as an on air reporter based in DC. He joined NBC on 2017 as white house correspondent and a substitute anchor for MSNBC. The anchor started working at PBS News on November 2021 as a correspondent for PBS news hour and anchor of PBS News Weekend. He and Amna Nawaz replaced Judy Woodruff on PBS News Hour on January 2023.
