Diving into Fareed’s career, as I had stated from the beginning, he currently works at CNN as the host of Fareed Zakaria GPS which is a Public affairs show. He has been working at CNN since 2008 and his area of expertise is interviewing global prominent people. In his time there he has interviewed presidents Bill Clinton, Hassan Rouhani from Iran, Prime ministers like Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu, Russian Dmitry Medvedev, and CEO’s like Lloyd Blankfein of Goldman Sachs and more.

In his career, he has been a successful writer and an editor and in those capacities he has worked with prominent American magazines like Newsweek where he was the editor of the Newsweek International and also a weekly columnist where he has joined in October 2000. Additionally, he worked with Time who hired him in August 2010 as an editor at Large and a columnist. Currently he also works for the Washington Post and the Atlantic media group as a columnist.

Before CNN, Fareed was working with ABC where he spent nearly five years after joining in 2002. There he served as an analyst of a broadcast named This Week with George Stephanopoulos. He left ABC on 2007 but before that in 2005, he was hired by PBS as a host of news show named Foreign exchange with Fareed Zakaria where he worked until 2008 leaving to join CNN. So since 2005 he was working for both ABC and PBS until 2007 when he only continued with PBS for another one year.
