Chris Hayes is a renowned American political commentator, Anchor, Author, Editor and activist. Currently he works at MSNBC as the host of a news and opinion television show named All in with Chris Hayes and a weekly podcast named Why This is Happening. He also works as an editor at large for Nation magazine.

His career began at Chicago reader where he covered local and national politics in August 2001. In 2003 he was a senior editor of a labor focused magazine named in these times. In 2005 he joined Schuman Writing center and worked since 2006 and from 2006-2007 he was at Puffin Foundation writing at the nation institute. He was named the Nation’s Washington DC editor in November 2007.

He firstly went on air in 2010 as a guest host for Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC which made him get more gigs. On November 2010 MSNBC gave him a fill in task for Keith Olbermann after Keith was suspended. On 2011 he was allocated a 2hr show by MSNBC on Saturdays and Sundays named Up With Chris Hayes and on 2013 he became the youngest host of prime time show at the age of 34 after MSNBC announced that he would take over  time slot formerly hosted by Ed Schultz. He launched his weekly podcast named Why Is This Happening, in 2018 which features interviews with politicians, journalists, activists, academics, and writers.
