Andrea Mitchell is an Award winning veteran American Journalist who works at NBC News as a political commentator and anchor based in Washington, DC. She is the anchor of Andrea Mitchell Reports at noon at MSNBC. She has worked as NBC’s News Chief Foreign affairs correspondent and also Washington Correspondent.

IN 1976 she was hired by WTOP (now WUSA) a CBS affiliate in Washington DC. She left after two years joining a NBC network News Operation as general correspondent. By 1979, Mitchell was NBC’s Energy correspondent, served as white house correspondent from 1981 and in 1988 she became Chief Congressional correspondent.

Since November 1994 she has been NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and has hosted Reports with Andrea Mitchell since 2008.
