Ade Adepitan is a renowned British Journalist currently working at BBC Channel 4. In addition he is famous for being an award winning Wheelchair Basketball Player. Losing his ability to walk never stopped his ambitions and that’s why today he has stand out as one of the most influential people globally.

Career

Adepitan came to the limelight as a Wheelchair Basketball Player. He says that it is sports that gave him purpose and has a lot of achievements through it. Him getting into sports, he says he was motivated by two physiotherapists after seeing him racing through the streets on a trolley being pushed by his friends. They advised him to get himself in wheelchair Basketball an advice he took seriously. He even applied for national team and got rejected 6 times but still didn’t lose hope he kept trying until he got the chance.

His love for sports led to a fallout between him and his father for ten years because his dad felt like he was wasting his time but they reconciled after his success. In 2004, he won a bronze medal and in 2005 he participated in Paralympic World cup in Manchester and won a Gold medal. At BBC his primary roles has been presenting travel documentaries and sports programs.
