Tapper has been working at CNN since 2013, and since the he has been the anchor of a broadcast named The Lead with Jake Tapper. Also since June 2015, he co-hosts a public affairs talk show named State of the Union alongside Dana Bash on Sunday morning.

Other places he worked includes National Public radio, The VH1 and has published for The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Weekly Standards and the New York Times Magazine.

He moved to ABC News in 2003, as host and anchor. After the 2008 presidential election he became the senior white House correspondent. He served at ABC News until January 2013 when he joined CNN.
