Tom Llamas career at NBC Network began in 2000 as a politics reporter for 5 years at MSNBC. He also worked at WTVJ, an NBC owned station, in Miami, WNBC-TV in New York and NBC News.
In 2014 Llamas was hired by ABC News as New York based correspondent. During that year’s Christmas period he substituted for David Muir on ABC World News Tonight and ended up becoming the anchor of Sunday broadcasts of ABC World News Tonight. By January 2017, he was named a program’s weekend anchor.
He went back to NBC on 2021 as senior national correspondent and also the anchor of NBC News Now. Also the replay of Today’s Fourth Hour was replaced by Top Story with Tom Llamas a show he anchors.
