Amna Nawaz Biography

Amna Nawaz is an award winning American Journalist who is currently working at PBS as a co-anchor for PBS News Hour together with Geoff Bennett. She joined the Network in 2018. Previously she had worked at ABC News and NBC News as a correspondent.

Nawaz is currently a co-anchor of PBS News Hour and she joined the network in 2018. In 2021 she became News hour Correspondent and she has co-anchored News Hour since January 2023 after replacing Judy Woodruff.  She firstly worked at NBC where she worked on documentaries and later she joined the NBC’s investigative unit. Also she was NBC’s correspondent and Bureau Chief at Islamabad Bureau.

In 2015, she joined ABC News where she anchored US election and national political coverage and also hosted ABC’s podcast series named Uncomfortable.

She became the first Asian American and Muslim woman to moderate a US presidential debate in 2019.
